Rio Closes over 9000 Retail Stores

The city of Rio de Janeiro closed 9100 shops along of 2017, up 31.7% before 2016. The survey was conducted by the Center for studies of the Club of Directors Retailers do Rio de Janeiro (CDLRio). According to the survey, only in December 1,084 closed the doors, which represents a high of 44.1% compared to the same month of the previous year. Throughout the State of Rio de Janeiro, January/December also were extinguished 21,139, an increase of 26.5% compared to the same period last year. In December, the Rio de Janeiro State 2,491 establishments closed, an increase of 43.2% in relation to December 2016.
