EXPORT VOLUME of CACHAÇA 51 GROWS in 2017

Cachaça 51 consumption and own genuinely national drink has increased throughout the world in 2017. The total volume of rum exported by Brazil was 8,746,998 liters (bottled and bulk), which represented a growth of 4.32% compared to the previous year (2016). Cachaça 51, produced by Companhia Müller de Bebidas, presented 12.76% growth in global marketing, 1,260,000 liters (1.1 million liters) bottles. The top destinations where the Cachaca 51 is marketed, Europe had growth of 22%; already North America had growth of 14%; and Asia – especially in China – a growth of 57%. Seven were the countries that received exclusively the Cia drinks Müller, while Portugal, Spain, United States follow as major destinations, all with more than 100,000 liters bottled. In South America, in addition to the focus on the development of Cachaça 51, there is positive record for 51 Ice, where it was registered 44% growth in volumes. Highlights also include the extra premium cachaça 51 Reserve, with 114% growth of export volumes compared with last year.
