Cookie raises export industry

The industry of biscuit and masses elevated the export volume in 50% in 2017, to 107,000 tons, reported on Monday (22) the Brazilian Association of industries Biscuits, pasta and breads & Cakes (Abimapi) industrial.

Domestically, sales reached $36.8 billion in 2016 R, while in volumes totaled 3,390,000 tons in the period.

The entity informs that the partnership with the Brazilian Agency of Promotion of exports and investments (Apex-Brazil) is maintained, propelling the sectoral project "Brazilian Biscuits, Pasta and Breads Industrialized & Cakes".
"The last agreement renewed, effective until 2019, provides for the total investment of about R $4.1 million", highlights the entity. "This amount will be invested in 20 promotional, training and competitiveness for export in 12 target countries: Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, USA, Mexico and Portugal in the priority group, and South Africa, Australia, China and Iran as secondary", complements Abimapi.
