Abradilan: sales of medicines grow 10.2% in 1st half

SÃO PAULO-sales of medicinal products in the distribution channel grew 10.2% in the first half of 2017 before the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Brazilian Association of logistics and Distribution of pharmaceutical products (Abradilan). Final price measures sales for consumers totaling R $7 billion between January and June.
Quantity of units sold, the growth was smaller. There was high of 2.2% compared to the previous year, reaching 497.1 million units of medicines.
Distributors meet 82% of pharmacies of Brazil. The demand for products in this channel is considered strong, especially among generic drugs, as stated in note Julian Vineyard, President of Abradilan.
