SÃO PAULO-drug sales increased 7.7% in distribution network between January and November 2016 compared with same period in 2015, according to data from the Brazilian Association of logistics and Distribution of pharmaceutical products (Abradilan). The network sold 797 million units in the 11 months of last year.
The growth of turnover was higher. Were R$ 14.450 billion revenue in the period, up 12% compared to the previous year.
The Abradilan assesses that distributors have grown along with the increased demand for lower-cost medicines. The results were driven mainly by increased representativeness of generic drugs in total sales, ponders the entity.
