Wholesale trade of SP has a negative balance of jobs

Sao Paulo-the wholesale trade of the State of Sao Paulo recorded 1,199 jobs decrease with officially registered in March. The result was result of 16,049 admissions and 17,248 disconnections. For the third time since March 2007, the result was negative.
In the same month of 2009, when the largest loss of jobs in the paulista for wholesale, the balance was negative in 1,755 jobs, according to data from the job search in the wholesale trade of the State of São Paulo (PESP Attacked), conducted monthly by Federation of trade in goods, services and tourism of the State of São Paulo (FecomercioSP) based on the data of the Ministry of labour and Social Security through the General Register of employed and unemployed (Caged). The new monthly retreat is the seventh in a row.
According to FecomercioSP, the stock of workers in the wholesale trade of São Paulo reached 495,267 in the month, the lowest level since February 2013, when there were 495,045 employees active in the sector.
In the quarter, were eliminated 4,149 jobs, worse result for the first quarter since 2009.
In 12 months, cumulative April 2015 to March this year, 20.6 1000 employee links have been removed.
The study also shows that all ten activities showed a fall in the stock of jobs in March comparison with the same month of 2015.
Electronic activities and personal equipment retreated 8.1%; textiles, clothing and footwear fell 7.3%; and segments of building material, wood and tools and machines for commercial and industrial use had 7% reduction in the stock of employees. These segments were the highlights of the period.
According to the economic assistance of FecomercioSP, the result is due to the weakening of household consumption and brazilian industrial production, which directly affect the applications to the wholesalers.
The continuity of elimination of vacancies, according to the entity, demonstrates that the bottom has not been reached for trade sales.
But that trend may be halted if measures were quickly adopted by the new Government to restore confidence and encourage private investment.
Still in research, only in the wholesale trade of the city of Sao Paulo were eliminated in March, 608 jobs with wallet.
The formal occupation reached 206,123 employees, 0.3% drop compared with February.
The cumulative balance of the last 12 months was negative at 10,583 jobs, which led to the decrease of 4.9% of the total stock of workers in the sector in comparison to March 2015.
Among the ten activities surveyed, only energy and fuels (12 slots), food and beverages (146) and pharmaceuticals and personal care (9) created jobs in March.
The negative of the month highlights were the sectors of building materials, wood and tools ( -170) and electronic and personal equipment ( -305).
