Danone''s sales in the world should grow between 3% and 5% this year

The French food multinational Danone confirmed on Tuesday its prediction that sales would increase between 3% and 5% this year, while he kept expectations for 2020 — that is to focus on growth "strong, sustainable and profitable", after delivering profitability in 2015.
The company updated its estimate for the advancement of operating margin for 2016. Before, the company had not given numbers and only claimed to expect "solid improvement" on the display; now, projects a growth in the range between 50 and 60 basis points.
The Chief Financial Officer of Danone, Cécile Cabanis, commented in a statement that the company is still seeking this year an increased resilience of operations, with the aim to reap efficiencies and optimize costs.
"We will assess regularly our investment plans to fund adequately our initiatives of short, medium and long term, in the face of rapid evolution in some emerging markets, particularly China," said the Executive.
"As part of its transformation plan in 2020, Danone continues strengthening its model of balanced growth. To consolidate this model in a still volatile and complex environment and ensure profitable growth in a sustainable way, the company has more than ever with disciplined allocation of resources to promote growth ", reported the food manufacturer.
