Danone opens infant nutrition factory in MG

São Paulo-Danone announced yesterday (8) the inauguration of the first factory in Brazil their infant nutrition Division. Installed in Poços de Caldas (MG), the unit has the potential to export milk compounds and formulas for other countries in Latin America.
According to the company, the new unit has received 120 million in investment and R$ was built in an area of 100 1000 square meters. "The factory will facilitate the distribution of products in the domestic market and, from next year, will allow exports to countries of Latin America," commented the President of Danone Early Life Nutrition in Brazil, Edna Giacomini, in a note.
The main highlight of the unit is not using water in the production process, since all raw materials of products are in powder version. For Edna, "the new plant strengthens the importance of the Brazilian market" to the manufacturer. With the inauguration of the plant of infant nutrition, Groupe Danone now has eight factories in the Country, being an already installed in the city of Poços de Caldas for 46 years.
