The majority of Brazilians (88%) consume peanuts. The data is from Abicab (Brazilian Association of the Industry of Chocolates, cocoa, peanuts, hard candies and derivatives). Of those surveyed, 63% agree that the food can be included in diets and 71% believe to be beneficial to health.
Between the derived product, the NAW is more food consumed by adults (57%) and children (60%). Then comes the chikki, with 48% and 46% stake, the salted peanut in shell (42%) and shelled (35%) – these are preferred among adults.
