AB Inbev sells part that SABmiller had on CR Snow for $ 1.6 billion

Brussels, 2 mar (EFE).-the Belgian brewery InBev announced on Wednesday an agreement to sell the 49 percent that the British SABMiller, which is in the process of merger, possessed in CR Snow to Chinese majority shareholder China Resources Beer (CRB) for $ 1.6 billion.
This decision corresponds to the efforts of the AB InBev and SABMiller to some questions of competition regulators and make it so the green light to the merger plan valued at 71 billion pounds to create a giant in the industry.
The agreement 49% that evaluates the British had in the capital of CR Snow in $ 1.6 billion.
The operation has already been adopted by the Council of CRB, which currently owns 51% of the brewery, and the majority shareholder of the Chinese giant in the industry.
In this way, the CRB will control 100% of CR Snow.
The agreement is subject to the successful completion of the merger between InBev and SABMiller announced on November 11, in turn subject to certain requirements and conditions by competition regulators.
In addition, taking total control by the CRB of CR Snow must be authorized by the Chinese regulator.
