Index of January consumer demand for credit falls 2.8%

Consumer demand for credit 2.8% drop in pointed January 2016, according to Boa Vista SCPC. Accumulated variation in 12 months on the scorecard kept the 6.7% drop recorded in December. Already in the assessment against the same month of 2015, the indicator obtained retraction of 9.4%. Considering the segments that make up the scorecard, financial institutions had 13.5% drop, while for the non-financial segment was positive variation in 3.5%. According to the entity, factors like high interest rates, consistently high inflation and worsening of the labour market are some of the conditioning variables of this result.
