Embalplan and purchase Packaging, Klabin Hevi by R$187 mi

São Paulo Klabin announced on Tuesday the purchase of packaging firm Embalplan, the Paraná and industrial installations for the production of corrugated boxes, Packaging of Hevi company Amazonas, in operation with combined value of 187 million reais.
According to the company, the acquisition will raise the total capacity of production of corrugated boxes of 70000 tons per year, Klabin in equivalent to a high of 10% of current capacity.
According to the statement, the purchase of Embalplan and Hevi "is aligned with the strategy of Klabin''s consistent growth in the markets and marks the beginning of the conversion operation of boxes by the company in the States of Paraná and Amazon."
The purchase of Hevi has already completed and the Embalplan depends on approval of the Administrative Council for economic Defense (Cade).
