Carrefour re-inaugurates six hypermarkets new generation

The French group reinaugurou six hypermarkets under the concept of new generation in the cities of São Paulo (SP), Ribeirão Preto (SP), Piracicaba (SP), Taubaté (São Paulo), Uberlândia (State of Minas Gerais) and Belford Roxo (RJ).
With the openings, the Carrefour hits the mark of 62 hypermarkets in the country''s new-generation model that is already present in Porto Alegre (RS), Canoas (RS), Londrina (PR), Curitiba (PR), Goiânia (GO), Brasília (DF), Belo Horizonte (MG), Juiz de Fora (MG), Uberlândia (MG), Natal (RN), Recife (PE), Fortaleza (CE), João Pessoa (PB), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Duque de Caxias (RJ), Belford Roxo (RJ) , Vila Velha (ES), as well as interior and coast of São Paulo.
The concept was developed by new generation network from qualitative research on the behavior and preferences of the consumer.
To receive it, the hypermarkets are totally transformed. The main change lies in the market area, which covers the butcher, fishmonger, deli, fresh produce, cheeses and cold cuts, where the client has a 360° vision of products and the customer service is done by specialized professionals.
The areas of groceries, beverages, cleaning items and beauty products are also reworded and underscore the releases of the major brands in the market, and Carrefour. Then, the items are displayed in the Ekg, Bazar, leisure, home and fashion, bringing together solutions to the everyday life of the consumer.
According to the retailer, the New Generation concept is booming across the country. In 2015, were opened to the public 20 fully renovated stores. The openings are part of the plan to revitalize the network of hypermarkets, which provides close 2016 with more than 60 New Generation stores. Between January and October, have already been reinaugurados 24 hypermarkets under this concept.
