Harald Chocolates makes expansion in Marília

The business expansion of the Harald Chocolate and toppings, in Marília, began to come true this week, when the President of the company, Ernesto Neugebauer, received a donation of 50 thousand square meters area, in the District of Lazio, at City Hall.
The ceremony was attended by the President of Fuji Oil-South America, Shuichi Yamaguchi, who recently acquired 83% of the share capital of Harald.
The negotiations between the parties began in the second half of 2014 and, in November, the expansion of industry in the municipality was already given for granted by the municipal administration.
The Harald already owns a small unit in the city. With the construction of the new building, of 18 thousand m ², it is expected that the company will generate, initially, 200 direct jobs.
Recently, Fuji Oil, oil processing of Japan, closed deal to acquire control of the company. According to released by the press, the Fuji invested around r $ 640 million. The Japanese company has already played in the Brazilian market in the area of edible oils and fats.
With Harald, expands its presence to the segment of chocolates, which already operates in other countries. "Harald maintains the tradition in the production of chocolates in the family with the strength of capital Neugebauer Japanese. It's a great achievement for Marília. Before long, the city will feel the benefit of this industrial power, "said the Secretary of economic development, Cássio Luiz Pinto.
The Harald announced in June last year, the construction of new factory in Cajamar within an area of 285 thousand m ², aiming to expand the business of Santana do Parnaíba unit that will continue in activity, according to the company President, Ernesto Neugebauer. According to him, the project will be divided into four phases over five years. With this initiative the company achieving the rank of second largest manufacturer of chocolates from Brazil in terms of ton.
