60W incandescent bulbs are banned in the country

The traditional 60-watt incandescent bulbs (60W) are prohibited in the country. Since last Wednesday (1) the marketing of the product was officially halted.
The measure is part of a gradual process, enforced by means of an Ordinance of the federal Government in 2010, with the goal of reducing electricity consumption.
The idea is that the consumer pass to adopt other options available on the market, more expensive, but you also spend less and are more durable, such as compact fluorescent or LED.
While a 60W incandescent lamp could be purchased for $ 1.50, the 15W compact fluorescent, which keeps similar luminosity, costs about $ 10. Already the LED equivalent, 8W, costs about $ 20.
At the same time, a compact fluorescent lamp, compared to an incandescent equivalent luminosity, Save 75%. LED lamp already saves 85%.
Since June 2014, the production and import of incandescent bulbs had already been suspended. Within one year he served so that retailers had time to finish with stocks.
With the ban, manufacturers, importers and traders who do not meet the laws can be fined up to $ 1.5 million.
