Sales in supermarkets fell 2.53 percent in may, show Open

Supermarket industry sales fell 2.53 percent in may, compared with the previous month, according to figures released on Monday (29) for the Open, industry entity. In comparison with may 2014, however, there was high of 0.34%. In the year, the sector builds up 0.59% gain.

The largest high were driven by onion (39.33%), tomatoes (14.73%), meat (10.23%) and Saltine cracker (4.32%). The largest falls were recorded by cassava flour ( -11.37%), egg ( -4.58%), creamy margarine ( -1.88%) and rice ( -1.86%).
