CADE approves acquisition of slaughter by Seara company

The Administrative Council for economic Defense (Cade) approved, without restrictions, the acquisition by the company of food Harvest of slaughter and production of chicken Anhambi, which results in the entrance of the J&F Group, JBS's controller, the slaughter of chickens in the State of Mato Grosso.
The endorsement was published Tuesday in the Official Gazette.
Cade pointed out in document that the participation of the J&F Group in some markets for processed food is little more than a track between 20 and 30 percent, and in some cases slightly exceeds this level.

Despite this, concluded that the increase of participation resulting from operation in the market of production and marketing of fresh chicken meat is very low, less than 10 percent, "which suggests that the effects of the operation on the market of processed foods using the chicken as input are limited".
