Sales volume of Coke back in Brazil and is stable in Latin America

The volume of Coca-Cola sales in Brazil fell a middle digit in the first quarter compared with the same period last year. In Latin America, sales were stable.
The weak performance of Coca in the country reflects the most difficult economic scenario and the fall in the consumption of drinks. Between January and March, the production of soft drinks fell 5.4%, according to data from the control System for the production of beverages (Sicobe).
According to the financial statement issued by the company yesterday, the six additional days in the quarter, the mix of product prices, which increased by 4%, and what the company described as a ' favourable ' mix in Mexico, Brazil and the South helped to leverage the result in Latin America.
These factors, however, were not sufficient to avoid losses in Latin America and the net revenue in the region declined 4% in the quarter to $ 1 billion. The prejudice in the region reached $ 578 million, down 13%. The pre-tax loss came to $ 588 million, 12% retraction about a year before.
In the world, Coke's net revenue inched 1% to $ 10.7 billion in the same comparison. Net income fell 4 percent to $ 1.56 billion. The Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) had low of 10% to $ 1.98 billion.
