Coffee shipments in 2014/15 have increased

Total Brazilian exports of coffee (green and industrialized) in accumulated nine first months of the season 2014/15, July 2014 and March 2015, reach millions of bags of 27.675 60 pounds, having increased from 10.5% in comparison with the same period from 2013/14 season, when shipments amounted to 25.042 million sacks. The data were disclosed last week by the Council of Brazil's coffee Exporters (Cecafé).
According to report released by the consulting company in agribusiness Harvests & market, revenue from exports from July to March was $ 5,391 billion, with an increase of 45.8% in comparison with the same period of the 2013/14 season ($ 3,698 billion). Adding the first three months of 2015, the Brazilian shipments arrive at 8.842 coffee totals million bags of 60 kilos, with an increase of 4.1% in comparison with the same range of 2014 (8,492,913 bags). The recipe comes to $ 1,694 billion in the first three months of 2015, an increase of 36.4% against the same period in 2014 ($ 1,242 billion).
The report also highlights that accumulated from January to March 2015, Europe was the main importing market and responsible for 57% of the total acquisition of coffee shipped from Brazil. Already North America responded by buying 23% of the total number of bags exported to Asia by 16% and South America by 3%.
Countries-according to the balance of exports, the list of importing countries in the first quarter follows led by United States, who have purchased 1,723,318 bags (19% of total exports), followed by Germany, with 1,585,317 (18% of total). The Italy occupied the third place, importing 817,471 sacks Brazilian product (9 percent). In the room is the Belgium, with 678,736 sacks (8% of the total).
The recipe Exchange with Brazil's coffee exports grew 24.1 percent in March compared with the same month of 2014, totaling $ 552,295 million.
