Storopack wants to expand their business in the Italian market of protective packaging

The Storopack packaging protection specialist, took over 100% of the shares of the Italian company Alternative 1999 s.r.l. The Alternative was founded in 1999, having been, from the beginning, a trading partner in Italy for sale paper pads, air pads Paperplus Airplus, and since 2008, also of Foamplus foam pads. With this step, the Storopack will feature an own branch on the Italian market, thereby improving their access to local customers of protective packaging. As part of the integration, within the next few weeks, will also change the name of the company, which will be called Storopack Italia s.r.l.
The offices and services of the company are in Cento, near Bologna. In 2014, the Alternative has achieved a total sales volume of nearly six million euros. For this year, the Storopack expects a further increase in sales volume.
The Storopack is a group of international companies with headquarters in Metzingen, Germany. The family business was founded in 1874. Currently, the Packaging business area has offices in Europe, North America, South America and Asia. There are dealers in more than 40 countries who make the products.
