Sales of corrugated board fall 0.23% in January

Sales of cardboard-boxes, corrugated sheets and accessories-fell 0.23 percent in January 2015 in comparison with the same month of 2014, to 277.105 thousand tons. In comparison with December 2014, sales soared 5.47%. The data contained in the final report released on Friday, 27, by the Brazilian Association of corrugated board (ABPO).
The year 2014 ended with a high of only 0.15% on sales of cardboard before 2013, with a total of 3.404 million tons. The projection for last year, according to the Association itself, was an increase of 2.5% to 3%. In 2013, sales had climbed 2.89 percent and in 2012, 2.90%.
