Traditionally carioca, biscuit Globe arrives in São Paulo

Before restricted to beaches in Rio, biscuit Globe came to Sao Paulo supermarkets.
The form of distribution of the traditional cookie of flour will be quite different. In Rio de Janeiro, it is sold at the door of the factory in the morning, right out of the oven. Dozens of stalls line up to buy packages that will be distributed on the edge of the Carioca beaches.
In Sao Paulo, he can be found in 18 stores from supermarket chains St Marche and Santa Maria Emporium, geared towards the upper class in Sao Paulo. Will sell for around $ 5.
According to the commercial Director of St. Marche, Geraldo Caspary, freight weighs in on the price. He also told the Veja magazine that the inclusion of the product portfolio of the network is a way of offering differentiated and innovative items to customers.
In more than 60 years, neither the IRS nor the product packing have been modified. The company, quite recognized, never did a marketing campaign.
History
The history of carioca biscuit is well in Sao Paulo. After the divorce of their parents, the brothers Milton, Jaime and João Fernandes Ponce went to work at the bakery from an uncle in Ipiranga neighborhood of Sao Paulo.
There, they learned the biscuit recipe of tapioca starch. In 1954 went to Rio de Janeiro for a Catholic event and started selling the cookies.
Due to the success of sales, two years later the brothers moved to the neighborhood of Botafogo, in Rio de Janeiro, and settled in a bakery named Globe.
In 1963 formed a partnership with a Portuguese, expert in breads, Mr. Francisco Nunes Lump, which remains until today. This new company was called the Mandarin Bakery Ltd.
