SABMiller has a partnership with Grupo Petrópolis in the country

SABMiller announced that its operations in Brazil in partnership with the Grupo Petrópolis. With the completion of the sale of the company to the AB InBev, scheduled for next year, the control of the business in the country will be of MolsonCoors.
"The brands Miller have a significant potential for global growth and this has also been highlighted by MolsonCoors, in the presentation held on 11 November this year for its investors. Together with our partner Grupo Petrópolis in Brazil, we will continue to build our brands, "said Chief Executive Officer of SABMiller for Brazil and the Southern Cone, Jean-Marc Thévenin, in a statement released yesterday by the company.
SABMiller did not disclose more information about the continuity of the partnership with the Brazilian group, after the sale of the company to competitor AB InBev, scheduled for the second half of 2016.
"As the deadlines for regulatory approvals in global markets may suffer variations, the companies have agreed to a deadline to this Exchange in may 2017, which can also be delayed by both parties, if necessary," said SABMiller, in the document.
To approve the transaction, InBev already has agreed to sell a stake of 58% that SABMiller has on MillerCoors in United States, which will be acquired by Molson Coors.
