Dairy import: Brazil Increases spending on 54%

According to data from the Ministry of development, industry and foreign trade, imports of dairy products by Brazil was $ $44,6 million in October, spending 54.0% larger compared to September. The volume has increased in the same proportion and went from 10.8 thousand tons to 17.0 million tons. The most imported product was powdered milk, which amounted to 13.5 million tons and $ 33.1 million in the month. The main suppliers, in value, were the Uruguay (52.5%), Argentina (39.0%) and France (1.9%). In comparison with the same period last year, imports fell 1.4% in value and increased by 58.6% in volume.
