M White announces that Markdown will happen in November

The M white, owner of brands such as Adria, Isabela, Zabet, Vitarella, reported yesterday (27/10) that will make adjustments in its operation in the fourth quarter to try to keep the profit margin in the third quarter. The measures will include the price adjustment.
Luciano Geraldo Mattos junior, Vice President of investments and controlling of M white, said the adjustments will be made in the prices of cookies and pastas.
"We have had a significant impact on costs resulting from the devaluation of the real. Only in the third quarter, the devaluation of the real was 15%. We must make the transfer price, but we will do a transfer possible, understanding the difficulty of the market and consumers, "he says.
Mattos said the company must make readjustments in prices between November and early December, with the goal of keeping the profit margin obtained in the third quarter.
The Executive added that it expects any slump in sales volume in the fourth quarter because of the adjustment.
Northeast
The company also reported that it will reduce the discount policy for retailers in the Northeast region. Currently, more than 50% of the sales of the company are intended for the region. "It's virtually impossible to keep the discounts according to the new scenario," said the Executive.
