Cargill, one of the largest privately held companies in the world and great global commodities trading, probably will not open its capital soon, said on Tuesday the Chief Executive of the company.
David MacLennan, who holds the position for 13 months, said that families that control Cargill are committed to keeping the company private.
"We have the support of the families of owners that will keep their money in the company," said MacLennan in a commodities Conference in Miami.
"I don't see an IPO happening soon," he added.
Cargill is one of the companies comprising the group known as ABCD, which dominates the global flow of agricultural products, along with Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Bunge and Louis Dreyfus.
