MILK PRODUCTION INCREASED 8.2%

The result refers to the second quarter of this year compared with the same period last year. Were processed 5.76 billion liters of milk in the period. However, compared to the first quarter of this year, there was a decline of 6.6% in volume. Quarterly Survey of the slaughter of animals, milk, leather products and the production of chicken eggs, produced by IBGE, pointed out also the production of 694.3 million dozen chicken eggs in the second quarter of this year, 2 percent more than in the same period last year and 1% more than in the first quarter of this year.
