JBS purchase assets of blue sky

JBS Foods announced the acquisition of two units of poultry processing Group blue sky, located in São Paulo, for about $ 246 million. The units are capable of 330 thousand joint slaughter birds per day and the purchase includes two feed mills and three hatcheries. "This acquisition represents an important step in the strategy of JBS Foods to increase its presence in key international markets, importers of birds, in addition to strengthening the company's position in the main Brazilian consumer market," said JBS in note. To be completed, the operation still depends on the approval of the authorities, including the Administrative Council for economic Defense (Cade).
