Trade activity grows 6.1%

The movement of consumers in stores increased 6.1% in February, compared with the same period last year, according to Serasa Experian Indicator of Trade Activity. However, compared to January this year, there was a decline of 0.5% after high of 1.7%, discounted seasonal influences. During the first quarter of 2014, the movement in stores was 6.0 percent higher. According to Serasa Experian's economists, the retraction of 0.5% may be regarded as a natural fit since the month of January recorded a more intense movement of consumers in the mobile segment, electronics and informatics.
