DuPont Surlyn composes Ototemo line, packing the l'acqua di Fiori

DuPont Surlyn, resin used in caps and containers of market leading brands of cosmetics, was the material chosen by l'acqua di Fiori to compose the lids of the jars of the female line Ototemo.
Through the Division of packaging and Industrial Polymers, DuPont has developed a proposal for a transition from DuPont ™ Surlyn ® to PCTA, providing freedom of creation and other important properties for the packaging of cosmetic products, such as transparency, brightness and resistance. Technology and styling's technical support Lu Plastic were instrumental in facilitating the project.
"The old Ototemo line covers were manufactured in France, which increased the lead time for the delivery of inputs to the filling, in addition to limiting the development of new colors and increase the risk of unforeseen events during the import process and strong exchange rate trend. With the use of DuPont ™ Surlyn ® and the nationalization of production of tampa, gain in productivity and quality, making the most beautiful packaging and, primarily, competitive ", explains Celia Anrelink, product manager at l'acqua di Fiori.
With the beginning of national production and customizable scale, the l'acqua di Fiori also won in response time to meet the changes in demand in the local market. "This project is an example of collaborative business model that DuPont is leading to assist customers and partners in the development of packaging increasingly attractive and economically viable," says José Boaventura, Marketing Manager of the Division of polymers for packaging and consumer products from DuPont Brazil.
