Net profit of Natura 8.7% advances in Q4

SAO PAULO-the net profits of the cosmetics manufacturer Natura was R $ 294,1 million in the fourth quarter of 2013, at an all-time high of 8.7% over the same period of the previous year.
The result was slightly below the average of the estimates of Bradesco, Credit Suisse, j. Safra, Votorantim, Goldman Sachs and Brazil Plural, which predicted a high of 11.3% in the bookmark.
Consolidated net revenue of the company reached r $ 2.16 billion in the quarter, in advance of 15.5%, compared to the previous year. The average of the projections of the six houses cited, more JP Morgan, pointed to an increase of 11.9% in the recipe.
In the Brazilian market, the company's net revenue rose 9.3 percent, to $ 1.78 billion, also in the fourth quarter.
The result before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda, in English) totaled r $ 538,7 million in the period, 16.3 percent more than recorded in the last three months of 2012.
Throughout the year of 2013, Natura amounting to r $ 842,6 million profit registered, with drop of 3.6% from a year earlier. The company's consolidated revenues grew 10.5% and reached r $ 7 billion.
The company plans to invest $ 500 million in 2014, with a greater participation in technology training. Last year, Natura invested r $ 554 million.
