KIMBERLY-CLARK'S PROFIT DOUBLES IN QUARTER

Kimberly-Clark doubled its profit for the 4° quarter of 2013, as compared to the same period in 2012. The result was influenced by non-recurring expenses in the previous year and by cost-cutting. The accumulated 2013, the company recorded net income of $ 2.1 billion, an increase of 22.4% in comparison with 2012. Net revenues had 0.4% expansion, peaking at $ 21.2 billion. Costs of products sold fell 7.7%, to $ 3.5 billion. Outside of North America, sales rose 5 percent, driven by China, Russia, Brazil and Venezuela. At the same time, operating expenses totaled US $ 999 million, 6.3% indentation.
