IBM-registers a net profit of $ 6.1-billion

SÃO PAULO-IBM reported net income of $ 6.19 billion in the fourth quarter of last year, an increase of 6% over the same period last year. The number was benefited by the lower incidence of income tax on the results from IBM. The company's revenues, however, fell by 5.5% to $ 27.7 billion, short of projections of $ 28.25 billion in revenue made by analysts from Thomson Reuters.
