Grupo Pão de Açúcar has high of 16.2% in the recipe of 4thq

The Grupo Pão de Açúcar (GPA) consolidated net revenue of R $ 16,887 billion in sales for the fourth quarter of 2013, i.e. growth of 16.2% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The consolidated data include the Food and ViaVarejo GPA and exclude real estate developments.
Gross revenues during the last three months of the year reached r $ 18,782 billion, up 14.9%, favoured by strong same store sales growth of 10.8%, following the trend of good performance presented in the previous quarter, with acceleration before the fourth quarter of 2012 in all the Group's businesses. In the year, consolidated net sales totaled r $ 57,730 billion, 13.7% expansion in 2012. The gross revenue totaled r $ 64,405 billion, up 12.8% compared to the previous year.
The Food presented GPA business revenue growth of 14.8% in the fourth quarter compared to the same range of 2012, totaling R $ 10,045 billion. Net sales in the food segment totaled r $ 9,240 billion, up 17.2 percent on quarterly basis. In 2013, Cumulative gross revenues reached r $ 34,625 billion, expanding 11.9 percent before 2012. The self-service Wholesale Division (Assai) recorded 35.6% advance in gross revenue in the fourth quarter, to $ 2,091 billion. In the year, gross sales advanced 34.1%, to R $ 6,814 billion. In a statement, the company informs that the Assai inaugurated six more stores in the last quarter, with a focus on States where I played, allowing a larger volume scale and strengthen its position against direct competitors. According to the company, in the last 12 months were delivered 14 new stores, being 8 openings in 5 new countries, which are showing higher than expected result.
