Renault estimates that demand for LPG-powered cars will increase 300%

Renault, the second largest car manufacturers from France, estimates that the demand for automobiles moved to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will triple in the European Union over the next five years. The trend, according to the automaker, is due to the growing demand for more economical and less polluting vehicles.
The market share of LPG-powered cars should reach 6% of the total number of cars sold in 27 countries in Europe, a rise of 300% when compared to the current participation of the order of 2%. LPG is a relatively cheap and abundant fuel, which has maintained its stable price over the past 5 years, confronting with the skyrocketing oil price increase.
LPG powered vehicles are also less aggressive to the environment: send 12% less CO2 (carbon dioxide) and 30% less than in the (nitrogen oxide) that gasoline-powered cars. This year, 80% of sales of Dacia Sendero in Italy were LPG-powered version.
