Castanhal launches jute bag '' Easy '' Closes

New zip bags will improve the productivity of the workforce employed in the packaging of potatoes and cut other costs of this process
potato packing with the exclusive "easy closes". Available in sizes 10 kg, 25 kg and 50 kg, the new package combines practicality to known tuber protection provided by jute yarn, which is soft and natural, decreases aggression to the skin of the potato.
"The easy closes will double the productivity of the people employed in the packaging of potatoes, and eliminate costs like the yarn used for sewing the bags, purchase and maintenance of equipment and electrical energy used in this process," says Flavio Junqueira Smith, President of the Simi Valley.
The idea of the new line of bags grew out of a suggestion of own potato scrubbers because of the impending ban on the use of bags of 50 kg.
