Anvisa maintains a ban on the sale of the only contaminated Ades

Was published today (08/04) in the Official Gazette of the Union a resolution of the national health surveillance agency revoking previous decision, which suspended the sale of all soy products of Unilever's Ades, brand, manufactured in TBA3G production line. Was kept, however, the ban Apple juices of the lot in which was found the cleaning solution, harmful to consumers.
On March 18, the Anvisa had suspended all soy products with lots of trademark Ades, different flavors and packaging, manufactured in the same production line of the contaminated batch.
Now, the text makes it clear that is banned "the distribution, marketing and consumer exposure, throughout the national territory, AGB25 lot of Food product with Apple flavor Soy ', AdeS, 1, 5 l, manufactured in 2/25/2013 and valid until 12/22/2013, Unilever Brazil Industrial Ltda, to be at odds with the health legislation and present a risk to health".
Unilever had already announced a recall for 96 units of that lot, but not all items have been returned. According to the company, there was a failure in the hygiene of packaging process, which resulted in the bottling of cleaning solution in place of juice.
