Purchase 50% of the Magnesium Roullier

The French Roullier Group, controller of manufacturer of fertilizers and animal nutrition products Timac Agro, bought 50% of the Magnesium mining of Brazil, located in Jucás (EC) and which produces Caustic magnesia with high content of magnesium oxide. The operation was shut down in February for undisclosed value.
According to the Executive Vice President of marketing at Timac Agro, Marcus Aurelius Justus, the acquisition ensures the access to raw materials, used in the manufacture of its two product lines. The Caustic magnesia can also be used in cement manufacture sorel, a ceramic material, agriculture and livestock, in the production of some types of paper, in the manufacture of synthetic rubber, as absorbent and catalyzed.
The Timac has an installed capacity to produce 1 million tons of solid fertilizer a year in Rio Grande (RS), Candeias (BA) and Santa Luzia do Norte (AL).
