Purchase 50% of the Itambé force for $ 410 million

The Force food, the brothers José and Wesley Joesley Batista, JBS and the Central Cooperative of Farmers of Minas Gerais (CCPR) have signed an agreement that provides for the purchase of part of the capital of Itambém for $ 410 million.
The Lodge was created from the operating assets and liabilities and contracts related to the processing, distribution, marketing and sale of dairy products and chilled of CCPR.
The contribution will be held by Force in mining company and will be used to strengthen the capital structure and contribute to the growth of one of the most traditional dairy companies of Brazil. As a result of the operation, Force and CCPR will become partners and hold a 50% stake in the share capital of Itambé.
The investment in Itambé, when completed, will speed up the implementation of the strategic plan of the force, including the expansion to major markets, like those of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro, regions quite complementary to those main areas of practice of Force.
The brand strength Itambé, one of the most traditional dairy brands in the country, will be one of the main levers of value creation of this investment.
Moreover, with an offering of diversified products in categories that include powdered milk, yogurts and requeijões, the Lodge will contribute to a better complementarity to Existing products. The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the Administrative Council for economic Defense (Cade).
