Vehicle production hit record, but 2013 closes with drop in sales

The National Association of Automotive vehicle manufacturers (Anfavea) announced on Thursday (5) a historical record in vehicle production. From January to November were produced 3.5 million units, volume that surpasses that of 2011, which was until then the record mark.

Comparing to the same period last year, the production registered a growth rate of 11.8% in comparison to last year, when they were sold 3.13 million.

However, even when there is still a month for closing sales of the year, the marketing of vehicles 0 must close in fall, frustrating expectations of growth of Anfavea, 1% to 2% in sales. November proved to be too weak in sales, with drop of 8.3%, when they were sold 302.9 million vehicles against 330.2 million in October.

With higher production and lower sales, the volume of exports had an increase of 29.4% increase compared to the period between January and November 2012.
