Of this total, slightly over half-34.5 million-was sold on the aftermarket, channel that grows 13%. Also in the first eleven months of 2013, there was an increase of 15.7% of sales of tires used on cargo vehicles, as a result of the resumption of production of trucks, in the Groove of the record harvest of grain and incentives such as cheap credit, on purchases of capital goods. The sector also gained strength with the high of 12% in the production of automakers, who are responsible for consuming a third of tires produced.
The Anip emphasizes, however, that exports of its members follow in fall. By November, shipments fell 6.9% on tyres to 11.4 million units. The entity has charged the Government measures to support the competitiveness of Brazilian exports. (EL)
