New BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 bring innovation without losing the origins

To try to topple the new operating system, the BB10, BlackBerry released two appliances in Brazil, the Z10 and Q10. The first, fully touch screen, resembles the top-of-the-line smartphones of competitors and achieving youngsters — which are linked to news of the area. The Q10, in turn, is close to the philosophy that has been adopted by manufacturer: specialize in a niche market, in this case, the enterprise, responsible for most of the sales of branded devices.
To continue to serve these customers, the BlackBerry has maintained some characteristics that are trademarks of the company. Among them, the physical keyboard, contrary to the current trend of fully sensitive screens. Although it seems outdated, well placed keys and large favor a quick and error-free typing, ideal for who produces direct content on the device.
And, even with the keypad, the display is three-inch Super Amoled touchscreen and has 720 x 720 pixels resolution, which produces images with good quality. The only drawback is the difficulty in showing a reduced screen texts, in addition to the loss of quality in time to watch videos or play. The square format still can distort some productions.
Still on the outside, the Q10 reveals a rugged look, with good ergonomics, but slightly heavy, with 139 grams. Looks little, but, if taken into account the small size of the unit, it is quite unfavorable.
In relation to the internal part, the Q10 does not disappoint. With dual-core processor 1, 5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, the actions are performed without any locking signal, even with more than a running program.
Another positive aspect is the new system BB10, which presents a significant improvement as compared to previous versions. Starting with visual, very nice and clean, with icons well-signposted and easy to be identified. The navigation is also simple. Simply perform the tutorials offered on startup of the appliance, in a short time, handling becomes automatic.
Camera
There are also interesting functions, like the BlackBerry Hub, where you can register the user profiles, emails, and social networking apps and so receive news unified in a single program. That way, you can reply to messages from different channels immediately, without having to enter the site or application.
The main-and crucial – new system problem is the supply of applications, especially of large developers. Apps that are at an all-time high, like Instagram, Snapchat and Vine, not part of the system catalog. The downside is minimized by the fact that the target audience doesn't have these corporate programs as priorities. But the system could have more visibility if told with some of these new features.
The square screen, for example, would be ideal for Instagram, once the photos taken by the unit with the proportion one by one, used on the social network. The camera is an attractive of Q10, because it has 8MP and features such as HDR technology, face detection, stabilization and burst mode, which takes several photos in sequence, in addition to recording in Full HD. Captured images feature superior quality even that brother Z10.
In spite of having advanced specifications, deficiencies can be prevalent at the time of purchase, taking some of the power of seduction of Q10. Thus, the release tends to be object of desire for just a small slice of consumers, which seems to be part of the company's plans. It remains to be seen how long this strategy will sustain itself.
