L'Occitane en Provence promotes sale of "solidarity SOAP"

The L'occitane en Provence, French multinational cosmetics, brings a special SOAP for teacher's day, support the educational initiative focused on building a literacy Centre in Burkina Faso, Africa, where Shea butter is produced by a cooperative that brings together thousands of women.
The action will be held in several countries where the brand is present the profits obtained by the sale of the product will be for the construction of the literacy Centre in Burkina Faso, which aims to promote empowerment and autonomy of women. For each Soap Shea Solidarity sold, three bricks will be built in partnership with the NGO Aide et Action, which supports access to education for all.
"Since 2006, the project supported by the Foundation L'occitane was responsible for alphabetization of nearly two thousand women, in addition to the training on improvements and development of household income of most of them," says Laura Barros, Director of the Group's Brand L'occitane.
The SOAP Shea Solidarity, available in limited edition, with 52% of Shea butter extracted by the women of Burkina Faso. The product has the symbol of education in Burkina Faso and the packaging is illustrated by local artist Sougouri Sawadogo.
The SOAP was launched initially in March, in celebrations of international women's day.
