According to Paulo De Tarso Petroni, Director General of CervBrasil, even with negative results, the industry hopes that 2014 is more productive.
"Although the industry has presented a fall of 2% year to date, we are still planning on a long-term basis and we maintain a full confidence in the development of Brazil," says Petroni.
Confidence in the sector's main bases in the expectation that the Government is successful and can reduce inflation to levels "more comfortable". The so-called beer inflation, measured by the national consumer price Index (IPCA), presented high of 1.1% in September, compared to August and an advancement of 6.7% year to date.
For the CervBrasil, the unfavorable numbers reflect the sector's current time of industry as a whole, due to the deceleration of the worker's earnings, high inflation and the indebtedness of households.
