Adidas see 16.4% higher revenues until 2015 because of the World Cup

The Chief Executive of Adidas, Herbert Hainer, bet sales of shirts and selections of official balls for the World Cup in Brazil to take the company to register a significant increase in revenue next year. The second largest manufacturer of sporting goods must reach the goal of € 17 billion ($ 23 billion) in annual revenue in 2015.
Hainer said in June that sales of football articles will increase for the record sum of € 2 billion in 2014.
Analysts predict that revenue will increase about 7%, to € 15.7 billion next year, compared to € 14.6 billion this year, according to estimates collected by Bloomberg. "Nobody expects anything less than a significant increase in revenue next year," said Jörg Philipp Frey, an analyst at m.m. Warburg in Hamburg. "If they do not have a significant increase, will undoubtedly be a bad thing, because it means they will have to revise its guidance. It's nothing spectacular. "
Last month, Adidas has reduced the profits forecast to 2013 pointing reasons distribution difficulties in Russia, the fragility of the golf market and the appreciation of the single European currency.
This year the company has been trying to aggressively expand sales of product segments, such as racing and gymnastics, due to the absence of a major football event.
Shares of Adidas were up 2.9% in trading yesterday, for € 81,16, before closing with high of 2.10 percent to 80,86 euros in Frankfurt. The German benchmark DAX index closed the session with a gain of 1.9 percent.
