Dairy products rose 4.1% wholesale in 2012, says Scot

The price of dairy products continued to advance in 2012 in Brazil, but the high were more measured than those of the previous year.
According to a survey conducted by Scot Consultoria, last year, the dairy were 4.1% more expensive wholesale, on average. In the same period, retail, the appreciation was 5.7%. In 2011, the wholesale and retail show have rearranged their produce, on average, 8.3% and 11.6%, respectively.
According to Pamela Adams, an analyst at Scot, the market behavior can be explained by the greater volume of imports and by increased competition among dairy products.
