Ambev plans to expand production in the State of Rio

Ambev said it will expand the production capacity of the company's two factories in the State of Rio de Janeiro this year. The value of the investment and the growth of capacity are kept confidential. Currently, the Group has two factories in the River, in the municipalities of Campo Grande and Piraí.
Rafael Oliveira, regional director for Ambev, said the goal is to meet the growing market of Rio de Janeiro. He pointed out that the Brahma, one of Ambev's brands, grew 1.1 percentage point in State in 2012, reaching the largest market share of the mark in the last six years, of 15.8%. The brand ranks second in sales of beer in the River, second only to Antarctica-the same group, which has more than 36%.

According to the marketing manager of Antarctica, Matthew Schroeder, the brand will double the sponsorship to the Street Carnival in Rio this year.
