Trade movement advances 0.6% in October, says Boa Vista

With the push of fgts resource release, retail sales recorded a slight increase in October, the month in which commerce relies on the help of Children's Day. The Trade Movement Indicator that tracks the performance of retail sales throughout Brazil advanced 0.6% in October this year compared to September, already discounted seasonal effects, according to data from Boa Vista. Compared to the same month last year, there was growth of 2%, while in the accumulated in 12 months the indicator recorded stability, at 1.5%. In the monthly analysis, the segment of "Furniture and Appliances" was the one that showed the highest expansion, with a 1.5% increase, discounting seasonal effects.
