Easter sales rise 4%, says the Apas

Second most important date for the supermarket sector, the 2018 Easter was good. Sales results for the period were within the expectations of São Paulo supermarket Association (APAS) and grew 4% from 2017. "This is a very positive result for resume a growth, albeit modest, to a date that is so important. We have reached our expectation, which leaves us optimistic for the remainder of the year, "explained Economist of APAS, Thiago Berka. In research conducted by APAS, 23% of entrepreneurs reported growth of 2% to 4%; other 23% reported increase of 4 to 6%, so almost half of supermarkets was on average 4%. Other 15% showed growth of up to 8%. Finally, 7% who said they had until 2% high in sales.
