Sealed Air acquires brazilian food packaging company

The Sealed Air Corporation announced the acquisition of Packaging Deltaplam Indústria e Comércio Ltda (Deltaplam), a brazilian-owned company, manufacturer of flexible packaging. Providing solutions for food industry customers around the Brazilian market, the company uses high extrusion technology to provide superior heat shrinkable barrier bags and recyclables, multilayer films, laminates and pouches.
"Added to the global expertise of Sealed Air and today's packaging solutions, this acquisition strengthens our position in Latin America, increasing the portfolio of more sustainable and ecological products and allows us to offer even more innovations to our customers," said Karl r. Mustafa, President of the Food Division of Sealed Air Care. "This investment also expands our market reach with new applications and segments".
The Deltaplam, established in 1994, is based in Londrina, Paraná, and employs today more than 100 people. The Sealed Air's presence in Brazil for over 55 years and employs over 3000 employees across Latin America.
